Flat Rate Pricing

To make things easier all around, I’ve recently changed my pricing structure to a flat rate system. Flat rate pricing for tattoos provides a clear approach to costs, unlike traditional hourly rates. Clients know the total cost upfront, aiding budgeting and planning. This model considers design complexity, size, and body location, offering an all-inclusive fee for the entire process, from placing the stencil to the final touches. It removes hourly billing, allowing clients to enjoy their experience without worrying about time or rising costs. I am happy to provide a cost estimate based on your design, whether it’s from my flash options or a custom design. Click below on each category to see what the price point will include.

  • This is for tattoo’s that are small in size, or medium in size but with minimal details. These tattoos are placed on arms and legs, which are generally fast and easy to tattoo.

  • This is for tattoos that are medium and large sized, with a fair amount of detail, or small tattoos that are tricky body placements (like torsos, heads, or inner biceps).

  • This is for large and complex projects. Tattoos this price include half sleeves, back tattoos with minimal details, or full sleeves with minimal detail. Anything large that can finish up in a single day.

  • This is for tattoos that take more than a single session. This includes full-body projects, large complex back pieces, double sleeves, and anything that includes enough detail and shading that requires more than one sitting to accomplish

Commonly Asked Questions

  • Only flash designs are tattooed more than once. Customs are designed for a single tattoo made just for you.

  • I require a $50 deposit for flash designs and $100 for custom designs. The deposit will be applied to the total cost of your tattoo for flash designs only. For custom projects, this deposit goes towards drawing time. (For every hour of tattooing a custom design, I spend on average 1.5 hours drawing that design.) Your deposit acts as a place-holder for our appointment and is NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are more than 30 minutes late for your appointment, your deposit will NOT be refunded or re-applied if we need to reschedule.

  • All of my travel/guest spot announcements will be sent out via my newsletter and/or my Instagram page. I don’t have anything set in stone just yet, however I’d like to do more traveling!

  • Our appointment will take place at my shop, Birdhouse Tattoo, and we accept cash and/or debit/credit cards there.

    • FOR CUSTOM PROJETS:
I haven’t formulated a plan to accept custom projects as of yet, however when the time is right, I will send out a newsletter announcing my custom books opening.

    • FOR PRE-DRAWN (FLASH) PROJECTS:
Via my newsletter, I will announce when my books are open for flash design bookings. All of my designs will be available in a flash “store,” where each design can be purchased as a first come, first serve basis. Soon after claiming your design, I will follow up with an additional email with instructions on how to book your appointment.

  • I do my best to send design options in a rough draft version via email, the day before your appointment. After getting your feedback, I’ll send over revistions shortly after contacting you. Your fully rendered design will be ready on the day of your appointment, and we can discuss any additional adjustments from there.

  • I loooove drawing animals of any kind, and bugs too, the stranger the better. Mystical elements are always wonderful to draw or add to a design, and I will always say yes to floral concepts.
Imagery that I won’t say yes to include: art from another artist (especially an existing tattoo), cultural symbolism unless that reflects your heritage (i.e. tribal tattoos, traditional Asian imagery, etc.), landscapes, human portraits, mandalas, geometric designs, compasses, vehicles, or anything in a watercolor style.

  • I will send you home with specific aftercare instructions, but the biggest rule of thumb is keep your tattoo clean.

  • I offer a free touch-up session for tattoos under one year healed. Head over to Birdhouse Tattoo's booking page to book your complimentary touch-up appointment. Tattoos that have faded because of neglecting the proper aftercare instructions will be subject to a touch-up fee.

  • Please don’t. Your tattoo will look better if the original artist does the work.
