Who’s your tattoo artist?
Alia has too many hobbies than she has time to do, but always makes time to show up and hold space for her clients.
Before tattooing she was a caregiver for 14 years at a group home, spending time with adults needing extra care to thrive. In between long overnight shifts, Alia was always searching for the perfect career in artmaking. She dabbled in children’s book illustration, showed work in coffee shops, and even owned a print shop for 9 years, but nothing quite combined her two skills of caregiving and drawing until she found tattooing.
In 2018 she decided to switch focus on tattooing, and felt like she finally found the ven diagram of both caring for people and using her drawing skills.
Aside from consensually stabbing people most days of the week, she also spends time with her two fully grown children, elderly doggos, and runs around doing errands for her shop Birdhouse Tattoo.
